Sid Dillon Chevrolet - Crete

I traveled 5 hours from home this weekend to visit family and started having car troubles. Being that far away from my home dealership had me worried. We pulled in at 7:45 on a Monday morning and were able to have the vehicle diagnosed, alternator replaced, and were back on the road by noon. Brandon in service was helpful, explained things thoroughly, and pointed us in the right direction. The biggest downfall was them not having a loaner vehicle for us to borrow. The shuttle driver, Mo, was fantastic and friendly, but with a baby, a loaner vehicle would’ve been much more convenient.

I’ll start by saying, I know I bought used and anything from now on is on me. I’m just talking about my experience at Sid Dillon in Crete.. I just thought everyone I spoke with was rude and disrespectful. The finance guy started out talking about how Sid Dillon Sr. Started out with 8 cars and was just good guy to the people and grew into what it is now, then proceeded to try and force the extended warranty, Gap, and roadside assistance onto us. When we declined, he continued to make comments about it through the rest of the sale. Additionally, they also stated something like a 182 or 82 point inspection and the first thing I noticed was the rear passenger running light is out and that just has me wondering what else they didn’t inspect and makes me nervous more is wrong with the car. Finally it really bothers me that they left the car with less than an 1/8th of a tank of gas in it and when I asked if they would fill it, they essentially said no. It just wasn’t the best experience overall and I felt pressured to do what they wanted and the finance guy acted like he knew more than everybody. Again I understand I bought used and this is just my thoughts on this dealership and my experience. I would not recommend buying from them, as there is many other better dealerships around the area. Not because of Sid Dillon, but getting parts for repairs. I appreciated the use of a loaner vehicle. GM needs to get a handle on the transmission and engine issues they have in the pickups and SUV's. Specifically, the 5.3L engine. Having to wait 60 days for transmission parts (valve body) and then giving up on getting them and replacing the transmission is an unacceptable alternative. I have driven GM vehicles most of my years driving. Considering other options now.

Very professional help. Bryce, Homero and Adam all did a fantastic job of making our decision easy and made us truly feel valued as customers. I would highly recommend all of them to anyone looking to buy. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of throughout the entire process.

Found a used truck on line came into look at it was ignored by sales manager... he told sales person to tell me id be better off selling my truck or going somewhere else.... so I left went to a dealership in Lincoln... They told me i was the 3rd customer this week was treated with poor customer service and rudeness .. they how ever offered $1,000 less on my truck then the truck i was lookin at in Crete with out even test driving 1 of their vehicles!! I still have not yet purchased a vehicle hoping to Monday or Tuesday!!
