# Summary The dealership receives strong praise for seamless customer service, knowledgeable staff, and transparent dealings on vehicle purchases and leases, with multiple customers highlighting friendly interactions and fair pricing. However, some customers report significant issues with service department transparency, diagnostic charges, warranty claim handling, and concerns about vehicle history disclosure that resulted in frustration and distrust.
We had such an incredible experience at Chevy Simi Valley that I had to share! From the moment we walked in, the team made our lease trade-in process completely seamless and stress-free. They were honest and truly took the time to walk us through every option without any pressure. What could have been a complicated process turned out to be smooth, efficient, and even enjoyable. The level of customer service we received was top notch friendly and genuinely focused on helping us get the best deal possible. It’s rare to find a dealership that combines professionalism with such a personal touch, but Chevy Simi Valley absolutely delivered. If you’re considering a lease trade-in or looking for a new vehicle, I highly recommend giving them a visit. We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Thank you to the entire Chevy Simi Valley team especially Jamaal, John, and Ryan for making this such a positive and memorable process!
I had a great experience at Chevrolet of Thousand Oaks. Ozzy was an excellent sales associate friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy. He made the whole process easy and straightforward. A big thank you to Mike, the finance director, who went above and beyond to get me approved despite having no credit. He explained everything clearly and really made the impossible happen. I’m extremely happy with my Chevrolet Colorado and would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for great service.
On 5/29/26 I took my '16 Volt in for an oil leak that has been there since this dealer replaced the valve cover a year prior. I found the leak on the EGR hose and requested it be looked at under the 15 year/150,000 emissions warranty. I showed service advisor Don Bevington a picture of the EGR and a stream of oil from the hose on my phone as you can't see it behind the catalytic convertor cover. He wrote the service order for "inspect for oil leak." $275 diagnostic fee. 4 times in person I told him I did not want an inspection for an oil leak I have already pinpointed and to inspect it for EGR under warranty. Don responded with "if you know so much why don't you fix the car yourself?" and "well why don't you take it somewhere else?" 6/4 he called saying there's a radiator hose leaking and very minor head gasket leak. On 6/5 I picked up the car after they replaced the radiator hose for $399.29 and the exact EGR hose is still leaking oil (a very severe leak). I see no evidence of any hoses being replaced. Regardless of me posting pictures of the EGR hose leaking oil before and after the service appointment the dealer chooses to say it's the customer's fault, there's nothing wrong with the EGR and a charge of $399.29 to replace a hose that was never actually done is fair. Good luck having them work on your car!
I bought a used truck from Simi valley Chevrolet, they told me the truck was never in an accident. When I bought it, it was at night and raining. Then next day when the weather cleared you can see all the body work that has been done to it and paint overspray in the wheel wells. But to make matters worse two months later the tailgate stopped working. I paid for the extended warranty so I brought it in for them to fix it. They told me they can’t figure out the problem and they can’t start a warranty claim until they know what the problem was. They told me they would have to do an extended diagnosis that would be $1000 and the warranty most likely wouldn’t cover that. I told them I’m not paying $1000 to diagnose a tailgate and I want to get the truck. They still charged me $250 for nothing. I took it to Thousand Oaks Chevrolet and they fixed it free of charge under warranty no extended diagnosis or anything. Extremely disappointed in Simi Valley Chevrolet
On 3/25/26 we purchased our brand new Rubicon X It was a great deal, better than any other dealers. Great selection! We actually went to check out a Rubicon and then saw the X model and said this is the one. Bill was a very nice guy. I honestly did not know he was a sales rep. We talked more about surfing and trees, haha. He knew all of the answers about the Jeep. Never had better experience buying a new vehicle. Alan and Debbie were very nice to work with. Thank you so much Bill❤️
