Wow! From the very beginning, it was such a smooth process. I contacted Christina through instagram and she was able to get me approved with what I was willing to pay. She handed me off to her trusted team and they were just as great. Smooth process through and through. I made the hour and half drive from my hometown and was able to test drive, sign all my paperwork with in less than two hours! I will recommend Sons of Kia McDonough to all my family and friends! I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent service appointment. While I appreciate the vehicle I purchased from your dealership two years ago, my recent experience with the service department have been very disappointing. This was my second visit, and for the second time, the service took nearly five hours. I traveled two hours to be there, and seeing the number of other customers in the waiting area receiving apologies for delays suggests a significant issue with the current scheduling procedures. Furthermore, I am concerned about the lack of transparency regarding costs. I was given an initial estimate of $318, but the final bill was nearly $400. This increase included undisclosed "shop fees" for basic hardware and taxes that could have been factored into the initial quote. I also found it concerning that I received automated suggestions for additional services that matched those sent to my father (his vehicle was getting serviced also) at the same time, which felt like unnecessary upselling rather than personalized care. Finally, the complimentary detailing was not completed because I was told the wait time would be even longer. When this happened during my first visit, I was encouraged to return and give the dealership a second chance. Having now provided that second opportunity with the same results, I am reconsidering how to handle my future service needs. I hope you value this feedback and will look into disclosing fees upfront and improving scheduling efficiency. I look forward to hearing from you regarding how these issues will be addressed.
