Do not keep their word, dishonest. I wasted almost 40k on a vehicle here. PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did. These are the brakes that are "fine" and I'm told to turn my music up not to hear them. Been trying to get them to fix this issue since I purchased. It was agreed upon all issues be fixed upon vehicle pickup. What a joke. Save yourself the hassle and go to Halifax instead of trying to support local.

We pulled in and paid them to diagnose a problem that sounded bad enough to make us afraid to drive home, where our own mechanic is. They said it was nothing. We didn't believe that, and tried to get them to look more closely. They insisted it was nothing and when we got home there was fluid all over the engine. Our mechanic was able to diagnose the problem immediately. South Shore refused to refund their charge for the false diagnosis. That's not fair, but more important, the mechanics don't seem to know or care.

We had an issue with our Duramax diesel truck while vacationing in Liverpool, Nova Scotia on a Friday before a long weekend. Stopped in to South Shore Chev Dealer in Liverpool hoping the service department could diagnose and repair the problem They were very accommodating and helpful. Our truck was repaired and we were able to continue on with our holiday. Just want to say thanks again to the friendly staff for your great service!

I pulled into SSC after hearing a suspicious noise. The tech couldn't replicate it so he "diagnosed" the issue as nothing wrong. He also provided an explanation that didn't apply to my situation. I tried to explain that the problem wasn't happening around the events he said COULD have caused the problem, but he stuck to his story -- nothing wrong -- instead, cars just have "hiccups" sometimes. When I asked what part could have caused the hiccup, a rep said "There's a lot of parts in there." But after arriving home I smelled burning when I got out of the car. When I opened the hood there was water everywhere. My main issue is that the tech shouldn't have said there was nothing wrong and sent me on my way; he should have been more thorough; AND HE SHOULD HAVE LISTENED WHEN I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT IT WASN'T "NOTHING." When I called to ask for a refund for the money I paid for the "inspection," SSC said No. When I took the vehicle to another mechanic that person was able to spot the problem immediately. The mechanics at South Shore Chevrolet are sub-standard.
