Southern Motors is the best dealership in the Coastal Empire / Low Country. I traveled over an hour to this dealership as no other dealership was willing to go above and beyond like John Maxwell did for me with my recent purchase. It took over a month for me to make up my mind to purchase a car and John patiently responded to every question I had and spent hours texting me until we found the perfect vehicle for me. Their entire team is second to none. If you are looking for a dealership that goes the extra mile to meet the customer on their terms then this is the dealership for you. I never felt any sort or sales pressure or anything that makes the purchase experience a negative. When I showed up finally to purchase my vehicle they had a few documents to sign and that was it... Oh yeah, I almost forgot to say that not only did they find the perfect vehicle for me, they had it delivered to their dealership within 24 hours. I had a special request for vehicle color, trim, features, etc. The located it, purchased it, and had it delivered to their lot in 24 hours after I agreed to the purchase. I would give John Maxwell, our salesperson, 5 stars. He’s a nice guy and worked with us to get the price we wanted. However, I would give the finance process 3 stars. We have great credit, the finance guy was nice enough, but nothing was computerized. It took FOREVER to sign all the paperwork. If we hadn’t driven in from Aiken, and if I hadn’t been searching for this particular car with the specific features, I seriously would have been tempted to leave about halfway through. It took an insane amount of time. And, there is only one person handling finance, so a couple of people had been waiting who knows how long for us to finish. But, overall, I got what I wanted and liked my salesperson.

I recently relocated here from Arizona where I had a CJDR dealership that took excellent care of me and one of my biggest concerns when I moved was finding a service-center I could rely on as heavily. I keep my vehicles for a long time, and I am very particular about the way they are cared for. I have had several experiences at this dealership's service department with both Caitlin and Lorie, and I can honestly say they and their team have exceeded my expectations more than once.
