I recently purchased a new GMC Elevation truck with Ernie at Standard Motors. Ernie and the organization as a whole were great to deal with. They found me the truck I had wanted, explained the details thoroughly and were very accommodating in trading in my old truck. They were quick in responding and getting the deal done. I would highly recommend Ernie and Standard Motors and look forward to dealing with them again in the future!

⭐ 1 Star – Deeply Disappointed I want to clarify that the previous review left on my account (from my mom) was written out of appreciation for Marie (she was lovely), and Marty. He had reassured us that he would be there in a pinch and only a quick call away if I ever needed help, especially since I am from Moose Jaw and was far away from home trying to complete my internship. At the time, that reassurance meant a lot to us. Unfortunately, since my vehicle has been stuck in Swift Current since January 12th, that level of support has not been reflected in reality. There has been little to no communication, no clear updates, and no real assistance provided throughout this entire situation. From the very beginning, I explained how critical it was that my vehicle be reliable and fully ready to drive 45 minutes either to Hazlet for my internship or to Regina for university. I specifically asked for the vehicle to be triple checked because I was nervous about highway driving. I was reassured everything had been thoroughly inspected and safe. Shortly after driving it for over an hour and a half, it broke down again — exactly what I was trying to prevent. They were unable to offer me a loaner vehicle or workable solutions, which has made this experience even more challenging. I ultimately made the personal decision to unenroll from my internship, and honestly, thank goodness I did — because without reliable transportation, commuting and working full-time in a rural school setting would have been nearly impossible. I had already started my semester three weeks late due to relocating and trying to create a stable plan in Hazlet/Swift Current. Now, returning from February break (been there since Jan 12th) , I still do not have my vehicle and am still left trying to figure out how I will consistently commute 45 minutes to Regina. Nor do I even know when I will get it back..? My heart is honestly just so disappointed. The stress and anxiety this situation has caused over the past six weeks has been overwhelming, and knowing I am still dealing with it moving forward feels incredibly defeating. This entire experience has felt unprofessional, confusing, and incredibly frustrating.

We just purchased our 2026 Equinox from Standard Motors in Swift Current and we cannot say enough of how great the whole process was. From Luke Friesen our salesman who was very knowledgeable and helpful in our decision to Tanja MacIssac in finance who ensured we got a great deal and explained everything to us. Both of them made us their priority through the whole process. Would definitely recommend purchasing a vehicle here.
