# Summary The dealership receives consistently high praise for its sales team's respectful approach, straightforward process, and fair pricing, with customers highlighting positive interactions with staff members who listen to their needs without applying pressure. However, the service department has drawn significant criticism for poor communication, incomplete work, lack of accountability, unclear pricing practices, and inconsistent customer care—particularly concerning experiences from Indigenous customers who felt undervalued after their initial purchase.
I recently purchased my truck from Strathmore Dodge and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Kyle was fantastic to work with. Right from the start I told him I wasn’t interested in high-pressure sales tactics, I just wanted someone to listen to what I needed in a truck and help me find the right fit. He did exactly that. The whole process felt straightforward, honest, and incredibly seamless. Regina was also an absolute gem. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly and made the paperwork side easy and stress-free. If you’re looking for a vehicle and want a team that respects your time, listens to what you want, and delivers without the pressure, I highly recommend them.
I do not recommend this dealership for auto services, particularly for Indigenous customers. as I have heard similar negative experiences from other Siksika Nation members, and I hope this review encourages positive change in how our community & other communities are treated. As a new customer & first time Buyer, I expected my time to be valued and to be treated fairly. Unfortunately, I had two disappointing shop experiences at Strathmore Dodge earlier this year. During my first visit, I waited nearly eight hours for an oil change and routine maintenance, despite having a booked appointment. Communication from the customer service representative was poor, with little to no updates on wait times. While I understand delays can happen, being overlooked with an appointment was frustrating. I also felt ignored by staff and the sales team and did not feel welcomed. Once a sale is made, customer care seems to decline. I returned a second time hoping for a better experience. While the issue with my vehicle was resolved and communication was somewhat improved, the experience still fell short. I was given three different quote prices, with costs increasing from $1,300 to $1,800, as additional issues were identified. Pricing was unclear and inconsistent, making it difficult to understand the final cost. Additionally, a third party warranty claim was submitted late by the dealership, resulting in the claim being denied and leaving me responsible for the full amount. I previously left a positive review, I have since taken that down because based on my experiences this year, I will not be returning to Strathmore Dodge. :(
I want to share my review. I waited 15 days to make sure everything was as good as I expected. And it went. - Karen did a good job suggesting the Ram model. - James was easy to deal with, the paperwork guru. - They replaced a broken light in the trunk in a few days. - They payed a fair price on my car. - The RAM (Hemi) is sublime to drive. - And, the most important thing, my wife is happy with her new car. Hopefully, my son will like Dodge/Chrysler as much as I do. My daughter can drive an electric car lol.
Service nightmare. -Zero customer/vehicle care -Zero accountability -Fraudulent service Read Below. I was offered a complimentary service for being a “preferred customer”. Amazing! I tried to book my service… I emailed the person on the letter I received then later emailed the person who had emailed me about the service (two different people and emails), no reply. Oh well, called in and they were happy to book me. Three days before the service I was worried that I was going to be unable to leave my truck with them for the day. So I called 3 separate times. Each time I was told “service was too busy, they would take a message and have service get right back to me”. No call ever came in. Oh well, I dealt with it and made it work. Day of the service, I leave my truck the night before because they had asked for the vehicle at 8am. At 4:15pm I call in to see if my vehicle is done because there was zero contact. After a lengthy wait on the phone they tell me the mechanic is just getting to it and it will be done shortly (had I have known it was being done at 4:15 I would t have been without my vehicle all day)…oh well. Go to pick up my vehicle they are friendly, the service is complimentary and I go to my truck. Here is where it gets good. I see my truck still has snow on it which tells me it wasn’t in the shop long enough for it to melt, I find that strange but I guess the service can be done fairly quickly. My truck is a nice truck with a high trim level. I get in and the technician has obviously got in it without cleaning his hands or removing his gloves because the door handle, steering wheel, door panel , and center console are covered in oily/grimy mess. Now I’m getting angry. I start driving. I look and the oil change remind sticker literally says “6 months”. Thanks a lot that’s very helpful….obviously well trained. I get home and seeing the absolute disrespect and horrendous level of care I have received I figure I should look under the hood. The mess continues. The best part. I inspect the oil filter because I have done all the previous oil changes and I have marked the oil filter…..it wasn’t changed. So all in all -No communication -Forgot about the service or pushed it until end of day -Either got an incompetent or disgruntled tech who did not (fraudulently) complete the oil and filter service, left me with and disgusting interior and exterior mess to clean, and did not complete even the most basic 16 point inspection that they also promised ( because my coolant was also low). Top to bottom this is embarrassing from a service department. Never again.
Great people all around. From my salesman Shane to James in finance. The GM Matt and everyone else involved with me getting my new 2025 Ram 1500 BigHorn. Great place to go if you’re looking for a new ride. They will go above and beyond to help make your dream ride a reality. Thanks so much again
