I got scammed. I bought a 1971 Chevelle a few weeks ago and it has been an absolute nightmare. I hired a prepurchase inspector, who ended up not finding any of these obvious issues. This 1971 Chevelle was advertised as "Runs Great, Drives Great"...... This car is dangerous to myself and everyone on the road. We couldn't test drive it on the highway so the issues didn't manifest until I was driving home. 1. The cars "upgraded" suspension as advertised was done wrong, all the bearing were shot, the car swerves all over the road even without any steering wheel touches. "I had two shops look at it and found out the bolts were so loose and a lot of them stripped that I could have been in a serious accident. 2. Parked it in my garage the next morning, rear differential fluid all over my garage floor, full of metal shavings, the axle seals failed. 3. Transmission stuttering and torque converter failure, car won't make it into 4th gear or overdrive without shaking violently, it needs new clutch packs and a torque converter. 4. 2nd week, the "built low mileage as advertised" engine starts knocking hard, tore down the entire block, gasket failure, PCV failure, intake manifold was full of oil and oil cake, we found transmission fluid inside as well as if someone was trying to quiet the knock. Piston rings all shot and failed, one cylinder was completely failed. Fuel line torn, multiple injectors failed, runaway high idle. 5. Frame rust, holes in the floor covered by a rug. 6. Instruments cluster doesn't illuminate unable to see at night, removed the dash and dash pad to find the entire fuse box rusting into oblivion and the dash frame falling apart. Three shops and a mobile mechanic have weighed in on this car. The verdict they all said, someone took this chevelle and swapped in bottom of the barrel junkyard parts. The engine, the transmission, and the entire suspension and rear diff has to be replaced. I was advised that this car is not safe to drive. I paid 53,000$ for a rusting shell of a chevelle which is now a 3 Ton paper weight in my garage, that I am going to have to spend 20k$ easily just to be able to drive again. The inspector I paid and depended on was a complete waste of investment and caught nothing. The sales sheet about this car was very dishonest about the state of the car. I have endless pictures and videos of this nightmare I am in.

Very disappointed with the 1968 c10 I purchased. I am from out of state and relied on the eyes, ears and honesty of the “experienced” sales staff to inform me of ANY cosmetic issues the vehicle had. There is NO WAY you could possibly miss the major flaws that were apparent upon delivery. Cracked paint, bubbles, paint flaking off, rust, Serious issues! Especially after I explicitly asked if there was anything visible. They must be blind… Rather they pointed out microscopic blemishes (like a pencil sized rock chip) and made statements like “this is the nicest truck we have in their building” and “this is a near flawless truck”. My favorite was “extremely nice paint job”. They masked the real issues and lied to make a sale…there is no other better way to say this truth. It’s not an overreaction or me being particular. I was explicit in my request. They lied. To those curious, I have tons of bolts missing, the “wood bed” that was pretty in photos was plywood and it was lifting when it got here. Broken seat brackets, missing body brackets, all kinds of body alignment issues, the list is too long to put here…. I spent 50k on the truck and I’m in it another 20-30k to fix everything to the quality they claimed it was. Buyer beware. I’m shocked they have the reviews they do. Probably because people leave a good one in the initial excitement only to learn about the issues long after. Below are a few photos. The big paint missing last photo is from an air hose only… Update - the company told me to call them in their response to my review so they can discuss the issues. I called them back and they told me they didn’t see any of these flaws, told me I was in the wrong for not seeing them in the photos. I told them the paint is falling off driving down the road! They refused to take the truck back at a 10k loss to me (which is very generous). That’s how bad they knew this truck was. They don’t even want it back! Liars!! I’m in the truck 25k so far and counting to make it even presentable. Don’t do business with them! More lovely coverups from a highly respected company…4/1/26….$40k and counting in repairs now…avoid them!!
