Strickland’s Brantford Cadillac

I brought my truck in for a 10:00 a.m. appointment and by 2:00 p.m. it still hadn’t even been looked at. We were then told they would need until 3:30 p.m., but when 3:30 came around, they asked if we could leave it overnight instead. We agreed, understanding that sometimes delays happen. The next morning, the employee we had originally been dealing with was off, and no one seemed to know what was going on with our truck. We were told someone would speak with a manager and call us back, but no one ever did. We eventually had to go in ourselves, only to be met by an extremely rude service agent. To be clear, the original employee we dealt with was friendly and professional, and I have no complaints about her service. Unfortunately, the employee covering in her absence was one of the rudest service agents I have ever encountered. After this experience, I would rather drive farther to another GMC dealership than return here. When we asked where the truck was so we could at least grab my husband’s work tools (since we had no idea the delay would be this long) the response we received was simply, “I don’t know,” instead of offering to look into it for us. That level of customer service was unacceptable. To make matters worse, after all of the waiting and lack of communication, they ended up simply resetting the light and sending us on our way, saying they could not smell any burning from the brakes. We had specifically explained that the burning smell was intermittent and not happening all the time, so it felt like our concerns were not properly listened to or taken seriously. I understand that delays happen and that dealerships can fall behind. However, if appointments cannot realistically be completed the same day, customers should be informed ahead of time so they can make alternative arrangements. The biggest issue throughout this entire experience was the lack of communication and complete disregard for our time as customers. With better communication and professionalism, this situation could have been handled very differently.

I've been here quite a few times as it's now my new home GM closest to where I live. I've always been blown away with how accommodating they are with emergency service needs even during seasonal tire changeover. Staff is courteous, helpful, and friendly. Bring your vehicle to Strickland's and they will look after you and treat you like family. Great dealership!

Julia, my service advisor, was extremely helpful, very efficient and just fun to work with! She kept me up to date with what was going on with my vehicle. Only four stars because service/parts took 3 months to get a part to repair my car and the rental vehicle given to me had no windshield washer fluid and was not fueled up.

Kathryn was knowledgeable, polite and she kept me upto date. The courtesy driver was a a nice man as well.

These guys don't know how to change brakes. I paid to replace all brakes and they replaced 1 pad on each tire instead of all of the pads. Absolutely incompetent. I attached the photo of the pads that were on my car after the service.
