# Summary Customers praise the dealership's sales team for their attentiveness, patience, and transparent communication throughout the purchasing process, with multiple reviewers highlighting professional and personalized service. However, one negative review raises concerns about the service department's diagnostic practices, alleging that technicians recommended an expensive catalytic converter replacement without properly investigating the actual cause of the vehicle's issues.

Best used or new car buying experience of my life. Jesus and Julie made buying a used car fun. Superior customer service. I live in Vermont and was initially concerned about diving 3+ hours from home to buy a car. Completely low key and honest negotiations regarding price, the car was exactly as described. Jesus and Julio coordinated detailing, even tax exempt status for out of state buyer while I was driving down. All paperwork was ready for me to sign. A seamless buying experience. Jesus and Julie are professional, knowledgeable, patient , and kind. Definitely, buying our next new or used car here. Well worth the drive. Thank you, Jesus and Julio!!!

I had an excellent experience working with Oscar and the team at Subaru Stamford. I came up from the city to purchase a car for the first time in 14 years, and Oscar made the entire process feel comfortable, thoughtful, and straightforward. What stood out most was how well he listened. He took the time to understand my situation, my needs, and the perspective I was bringing into such a big purchase. I felt completely at ease making this decision. I never felt pressured or dismissed. I felt heard, respected, and confident in both the service I received and the vehicle I was purchasing. Everyone was thoughtful, patient, and professional throughout the entire process. I left feeling incredibly grateful for the experience and would highly recommend working with them again.

We had such a good experience at Stamford Subaru, we came back to buy another. Our sales representative Jeramy Guava helped us find the car we were looking for. He was patient and kind. Jeramy’s manager John did an excellent job too. I would highly recommend Stamford Subaru if you are interested in buying a car.

I paid a $220 diagnostic fee at this dealership, and the experience was a textbook example of predatory "parts-changing" rather than professional diagnosis. My 2011 Outback was having intermittent starting issues and stalling. After "inspecting" the vehicle, this service department told me I needed to replace my catalytic converter for over $3,000. When I questioned the logic—since the car ran perfectly at highway speeds—they doubled down on the P0420 code and refused to look further. The Reality: I performed my own due diligence. The actual culprit was a faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor—a common failure point that their technicians completely ignored. The engine oil is all over the engine top as shown the picture. I replaced the sensor for around $100, and the car has been running perfectly ever since. No stalls, no starting issues, and the "failed" catalytic converter is performing exactly within spec. It is deeply concerning that a "factory-trained" service department missed a basic sensor failure and attempted to charge a customer $3,000 for an unnecessary major repair. When I presented this evidence to management to request a refund for the failed diagnostic, they were uncooperative. Be wary. If they give you a high-priced quote based on a single error code, get a second opinion. I have already escalated this case to Subaru of America (SOA) and initiated a dispute for the diagnostic fee. Advice to Management: A diagnostic fee is for a professional root-cause analysis, not for reading a code and guessing with the customer's wallet.

I had an outstanding experience at Subaru of Stamford while purchasing my 2025 Subaru Legacy Limited. From start to finish, the level of hospitality, professionalism, and customer care was at its absolute peak. My sales team, Oscar Molina and Jesus Lemus, were exceptional—knowledgeable, attentive, and truly focused on making sure I was comfortable and confident every step of the way. They took the time to walk me through every detail of the vehicle and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. When it came to the finance portion, José Vargas delivered the same high standard of excellence. He was thorough, transparent, and professional, ensuring I fully understood every aspect of the deal while making the process seamless and stress-free. What truly stood out was the team’s commitment to delivering a first-class experience. This wasn’t just a transaction it felt like a well coordinated, customer focused operation where everyone was aligned to provide top tier service. I’m extremely happy with my 2025 Subaru Legacy Limited, and I highly recommend working with Oscar, Jesus, and José if you’re considering a purchase. This is what a five-star dealership experience should look like. keep up the good work guys best regards, J. Rodriguez
