# Summary This dealership receives praise from satisfied customers for friendly sales staff, smooth purchasing experiences, and knowledgeable service, with several five-star reviews highlighting professionalism and fair dealings. However, negative reviews cite significant concerns about service quality, including missed diagnostic findings during inspections, unexplained damage to vehicles, and disputes over responsibility for repairs that resulted in substantial costs to customers.
Loved my experience with the Summit 4x4 sales team, Sean was amazing. The easiest car purchase I have ever made! They had an amazing Jeep which was outfitted to the teeth with every off-road accessory you could possibly imagine. Sean got me a great price, the negotiations were so easy and picking up my vehicle was a dream. He went through the entire vehicle with me and even offered tutorial classes that they provide. This whole organization is a class-act and they really know what they are doing. Highly recommend!!!!
Am looking at a 2018 Kia. The Toyota we looking at was a 2010. They wanted 13,000. Seems like a lot for a 16 year old car. Nephew is looking Chevy part. I don’t have much hope of that. Thanks for all your help
I would not take your car here, (take it to the main office in Prescott) I did take my car to Prescott Valley and it cost me over $12,000.00 to fix and they will accept no blame for any error made on their part. Brought it in for a quote, $4500.00 was the quote for suspension work, then they cracked the transmission for a service, then I get it back and it needed a whole new (rebuilt) transmission when I brought it in for suspension work. Even the estimate was way off, I understand you can find things later, but my transmission was fine before taking it in. I had to take to it the Prescott office to get the car finished (another $2000.00) because all the panel lights that were on when I initially took the car in to get serviced came back on after a month. When I picked up my car, I even got the driver's seat control panel back damaged when it was perfectly fine when I brought it in. They did not even have the decency to call me even though I was very upset about the damage and it CLEARLY WAS SUMMIT who damaged it.
I hired Summit to do a pre-purchase inspection on a 2014 4Runner. They found several minor issues which I used to negotiate a price for purchasing the vehicle. Shortly after, I found out the parking brake wasn't working at all. I figured it just needed adjustment. Later I went to adjust the brakes and during the process I discovered the brakes were soaked in axle oil. I took it to a repair shop and it was diagnosed to have leaking axle seals and a broken parking brake cable. The brake backing plates had oil on them and were caked with dirt, a clear indication the seals had been leaking for some time. The pre-purchase inspection showed the parking brake passed the inspection. This could not be true. Also there was no mention of the bad seals. I got estimates for the repairs that ranged from $2100 to $3300. I went to the manager, Shad Kennedy, and presented the problem of how the parking brake and axle seals were missed in the inspection. I showed a photo of the saturated brakes. His response was this all happened during the 4 weeks that had passed since I purchased the vehicle. I have attached the photo I showed him. Clearly that is not fresh axle oil. I asked if they would help me with the cost of the repair by providing the labor if I pay for parts. His offer was to do the repair at fleet rate ($160/hr) and 10% off parts. I ended up paying them $1300 for the bearings, seals and brakes. They couldn't fix the cable during the 2 days they had it in the shop, so I had that done elsewhere for another $800. Total cost for repairs was over $2100 out of my pocket. What started as a fair deal for the vehicle ended up being a very bad deal, all because they missed the obvious broken brake cable and leaking seals. There is an implied warranty when they do a vehicle inspection. They refuse to acknowledge any liability for their oversight. This is not the way a $200/hr shop operates.
Excellent truck buying transaction! Sean Murrey sold us our dream truck. Sean is professional, knowledgeable and ZERO pressure/hassle. Everyone treated us courteously no "attitude". Thank You Again!
