# Summary The dealership receives strong praise from satisfied customers who highlight exceptional service from individual advisors like Coco, Peter, and Kevin, who demonstrated patience, responsiveness, and thorough support throughout the purchasing process. However, negative reviews describe dismissive and impatient staff behavior, particularly regarding customers with questions or concerns, and unprofessional conduct during closing hours that left some customers feeling disrespected and undervalued.
Coco’s service was absolutely amazing. I initially didn’t plan on working with a Tesla sales advisor since I thought I could just place the order online myself. But out of curiosity, I reached out—and from the very beginning, Coco was incredibly patient, answering all my questions and offering support. Over the past three months leading up to my delivery, she consistently followed up and was always responsive, replying to messages almost instantly. Having such a great sales advisor really made the whole experience so much better. I highly recommend her! The entire Tesla Richmond team was also fantastic. Special thanks to Winnie for her guidance, as well as all the other staff members—they were truly warm, friendly, and helpful. This car-buying experience was excellent!
A huge thank you to Peter for his outstanding client service. I recently purchased a Tesla Model 3 and Peter guided me every step of the way. He was exceptionally patient and answered all my questions right away, even if I messaged him after hours. I am beyond satisfied with my experience at this dealership and would recommend Peter to anyone interested in buying a Tesla here!
I would like to sincerely thank Kevin Kok from Richmond BC Tesla for his outstanding customer service. From start to finish, Kevin consistently went above and beyond his job description to ensure everything went smoothly. His expertise, professionalism, and in-depth knowledge were greatly appreciated and made the entire process of ordering my Tesla seamless and stress-free. Kevin was always responsive, patient, and genuinely committed to helping, which truly set him apart. I am extremely grateful for his support and would highly recommend him to anyone who may require assistance with placing an order either online or in person.
This is a review for a test drive I did for the Model Y Standard back with Peter in April 2026 when the most affordable Model 3 (Premium AWD) was priced at $79,990 and had no available test drive units. The test drive itself was good. Peter was very thorough with the orientation and seemed knowledgable about the vehicle. Those were the only praises I had for him. After the test drive was over, I had a couple of questions about the Model 3. Keep in mind in 2026 and most of 2025, the Model 3 had been selling terribly in Canada because there was no reasonably priced option due to the 25% US & 100% Chinese tariffs. However, as we all know now in hindsight, Tesla was preparing to bring in Model 3s from China thanks to the trade deal that was signed in March. Some of the questions I had were quite speculative (e.g: will there be any affordable Model 3s coming anytime soon in 2026, which trims will most likely be imported from China) and I did not expect Peter or any other staff to know the answer, which they did not. That was okay. What was not okay was how dismissive and rude they treated me while I was asking the questions. Peter dismissed my questions quite impatiently. He also did not seem interested in answering any questions that required critical thinking (e.g: value-wise, if Tesla was able to sell a Model 3 Standard for the same price as a Model Y Standard, would it still be a good deal? What are some things Model 3 owners enjoy about their car, and what are some things Model Y owners enjoy about their car?) He also had the audacity to lecture me about why I was so interested in a Model 3 and how I was making a bad choice when the Model Y Standard was so aggressively priced, and how the Model Y should be the car I should buy because it's currently the most affordable it has ever been since launching in Canada, which he is not wrong about. However for me, I've always wanted a Model 3 (since 2018) so I was a bit stubborn in refusing to put in a deposit for a Model Y at the moment when there was potentially affordable Model 3s on the way. Two things really stood out for me in my conversation with Peter. One: During a back and forth we were having about differences between the Model 3 and Model Y, he made a comment saying "why are we even having this argument" which I found very insightful on his perception on our conversation. He did not think we were having a talk where I could learn more about the Tesla vehicles - he thought we were having an argument about which car was better (which was not my intention, I was trying to learn the pros and cons of both vehicles so I can make a better informed decision). Two: When one of his coworkers asked for his help during our conversation, he told the coworker "give me 5 minutes, I need to close". This also gave me a lot of insight on how he viewed me. To my knowledge, Tesla showrooms aren't structured like traditional car dealerships where staff need to sell cars and close deals because the entire ordering process can be done yourself and through the Tesla app/website. I don't know if showroom staff get paid extra if they can help customers put in deposits at the showroom, but the fact that Peter felt the need to "close" vs. "finish helping out this customer" and said it right in front of me made me feel more like a walking bag of extra money than a human customer. I walked out of the experience frustrated and unhappy. I felt ridiculed and humiliated for wanting to get a Model 3 over a Model Y. Again, I don't know what the compensation is like for the showroom staff. Regardless of whether or not you get a bonus for helping customers sign, that should not mean that you treat the ones who don't sign at the end without any respect. Do better.
I had a very disappointing experience at this Tesla showroom. Firstly, the staff’s attitude was concerning. My child accidentally spilled two cups of tea, and instead of offering help, a male staff member responded by staring and saying, “What do you want?” in an unfriendly way. This made me question how a team that cannot handle a small situation professionally could be trusted with more important customer needs. Secondly, the way we were treated near closing time was unacceptable. The store closes at 6:00 pm, yet shortly after, a staff member repeatedly urged us to leave in a rude and impatient manner. We fully understood the closing time and were trying to finish quickly, but the tone and attitude created an uncomfortable and pressured environment. By the time we left (around 6:15 pm), it felt as though we were being made to feel at fault for staying slightly beyond closing. For comparison, I have visited other dealerships where staff remained professional even after closing and ensured basic questions were answered before customers left. The contrast was striking. Overall, this experience has significantly affected my perception of Tesla and made me reconsider purchasing one. If this reflects the standard of customer service at Tesla, it raises serious concerns about the overall customer experience associated with the brand. This also raises concerns about whether the same attitude would carry over to after-sales service, and makes me question whether Tesla’s strength lies more in its marketing than in its actual customer experience.
