# Summary The dealership faces significant customer complaints regarding pricing practices, deceptive financing tactics, poor vehicle quality control, and unresponsive warranty claim handling that has left buyers with substantial unexpected costs and unresolved mechanical issues. Customers report being misled about monthly payments, charged for questionable add-ons, and encountering major engine problems shortly after purchase with little accountability or support from management.

I purchased a new Mazda a couple of years ago and part of their sales pitch was that "it comes with a free car wash for who bought a car from us." It was very nice. They have a car wash that a customer could come as often as they like and get a free brush car wash. I decided that would continue to buy cars from them for life. my wife loves to have a clean car and she was thrilled with the convenience. The car wash is about 28 blocks from my house, so we likely only used it a couple time a month. But it was great. The wash went under construction towards the end of last year. (2025). I asked when it would be working and they said the first of the year . This is the middle of May, 2026 and still they say it is not working. I had been told that when it was up and running we would have to get tokens from the dealership to get your car washed. I went by today and asked the Sales person at Tim Daley Mazda for a token and he said that it was still not working. I drove by the wash and the entrance door was closed but it always is until you put in a token or maybe a code . The back end of the wash was open and looked like it was wet. Im not sure, but Im pretty sure they are washing their dealership cars in it. I tried to find the HQ for Tim Daley, as I have tried the dealership several times with no luck.. I guess we look for a new dealer.

This is why you should never buy a car from Tim Dahle, unless you love to overpay for your car. They took advantage of the used EV tax credit by raising the price of all EV by 3-4K and including the discount in their ad price. This listing is a perfect example. Just look around. Check out CarGurus and price nationwide to get a good idea of how bad you will be getting ripped off!

This is for the used lot with all the Tesla's. I want to say is that your experience may be different, I'm here to share what happened to me while buying through this location. 1st, they very lazily have a standard VIN that they use to send out for financing, this made it seem like my payments would be around $528.00 a month which I was great with, they get you on board with that lower payment, then come the warranty stuff, I'm new to Tesla so I'm a little worried and end up buying into the lowest "warranty" they have... which raised my payments up to $677.00, ok fine I'll refinance with my CU down the road. 14 days later, I get a call from the finance guy, asking me to go back down and resign some papers, so I do, that's when I find out they sent their standard VIN in for the car I'm financing, when it's so called fixed, I now have to pay $722.00 a month, almost $200 more than I agreed on. I spoke with the finance manager who did something and got my payment down to $692.00, still almost $200 more than I agreed on. I accept because I had no choice at this point and carry on. I decided to rotate my tires, this is when I find the attached pics of their so called underbody protection that they forcefully make you pay a significant amount of money for. As you can see, they randomly sprayed a couple lines that are not even close to any seams or welds. In short, please be very cautious and make to go over the VIN and take 24 to 48 hours before you sign papers, don't get messed over like I did. But from them but don't sign until you go over every detail please.

After driving the vehicle for two weeks, we got a low oil light saying add a quart. After a total of three weeks of owning the vehicle we had added 3 to 4 quarts of oil. They told us to bring in the vehicle and they would look into it. after a few days that they had taken apart some of the vehicle, but had not found any reason why the oil was disappearing, but was not leaking. The car was not smoking out exhaust. After not finding anything, told us we could not submit for a #Warranty yet because it wasn’t active and the car was too new from purchase so we waited they added oil and we wait three or four weeks when they said we could bring it in. They had the car weeks and we hadn’t heard back we reached out, said they think that it was burning oil. proceeded to tell us it would need an engine. told us that the warranty company wouldn’t cover certain items and that if it needed a new motor the new motor and Install could be up to $30k and the warranty company was only going to cover 10k we needed to pay $20k for a car we just bought. We fought for weeks to find a solution they said to #Warranty anything they had to do 26 hr teardown to try and find problem and we had to pay 26 hours labor?!? Their solution? contribute a little bit and the #Warranty company would contribute a small amount, but we would still pay $1900 and if engine needed replaced it would be our expense We just purchased off their lot. We contacted warranty company ourselves. said that Tim Dahle not submitted anything to them, that there is no 26 hours requirement for warranty anywhere and don’t understand where that’s from and any teardown done is covered so we don’t pay for this? Yes there is a $10k cap unfortunately. Also told our car miles and the level/warranty protects us from day one from purchase. the manager told us to wait because of the warranty and Warranty company told us that we didn’t have to wait. A manager told us they didn’t want to submit the Warranty it made the dealership look bad like they sold us a car with a bad engine. Tim Dahle sold us car with bad engine and expect us to walk away broken/huge loan or to pay out-of-pocket thousands $$ to fix. During this process, were promised rentals that never came through an the GM got involved, we voiced our problem, he said that they need to fix the car and keep us in car and do whatever it takes make it right “best for us and them” and give him one day to sort it out And that he had a rental car available the next day. We never heard back directly from the general manager, other than through the operations manager, and we were swept under the rug and pretty much pressured into replacing the car with the cheapest engine that they could find and telling us to go traded in at another dealership to recoup some of our loan money or to walk away with the car and a small refund of our #Warranty money. And here we are weeks later, still with no rental car and still no contact from The last week when we went to the dealership to continue to address our frustrations and concerns. The dealership is taking no responsibility or actions With our problem and the fact that the vehicle may not have been visibly problematic sold us this Audi with a bad engine. They want nothing to do with our problems and our obviously not concerned at all because we are constantly in a waiting game with no contact from anyone or updates. We purchase the vehicle the end of September 2024 and we are now in the second week of January. I will never recommend anyone to go to Tim Dahle bountiful or any of the Tim Dahle group dealerships. This is still an ongoing problem with ZERO resolution. They do not care about the customer, they do not take responsibility for their actions, dealings and or products and will leave you stranded with no solutions or resolution and do everything possible to not be liable for their own actions. These are just o few of the problems with this vehicle purchase that we are dealing with. DO NOT BUY FROM TIM DAHLE and definitely not from TIM DAHLE BOUNTIFUL.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I bought my car from Tim Dahle Nissan Murray and sold an expensive extended warranty with Portfolio (who Dahle owns a part of). Told it was great coverage and reliable, here it is just over 2 years later and my car is in the shop needing an engine. I wasn't concerned because I had a reliable warranty (or so I thought.) They asked for maintenance records, gave them 2 recent oil change documents from a mechanic shop showing no issues with engine but they want more. My son is a certified mechanic who actually worked at that dealership and trained under one of their top master techs and did a couple oil changes at home. Receipts for the oil does not show mileage information so now they saying claim will be denied. Why did I pay so much money for nothing? Only thing their "forever warranty " guarantees is no coverage. They don't care about their customers all they care about is the money they get out of them. My son will be telling everyone he knows in the car industry out here as will I that Tim Dahle does not care and NEVER, EVER purchase a warranty from Portfolio.
