# Summary The dealership receives mixed reviews, with customers praising the sales team for their patience, friendliness, and ability to facilitate smooth vehicle purchases, while others report serious issues with service department accountability, including alleged negligence in repairs and inadequate resolution of vehicle defects. Experiences range from highly positive interactions with staff like Pedro, Jacob, Marcus, and Dillon to significant frustration with service management's lack of responsiveness and what some customers perceive as unfair business practices regarding defective vehicles.
In May 9, 2026 my oil change was handled fine and I was issued my diagnostic report with all green lights afterwards. However, I took my car back to T.O.G on May 19 to get my air conditioner serviced for blowing hot air which was reported on the diagnostic as a green light. May 20, I pick my car up then pay. I get in my car to leave but noticed diagnostic lights in my dash and 2 different warnings that I’m not sure why the mechanic did not notice when he parked the car in their parking lot. I immediately drove my car back into the garage bay to let them know those lights and warnings were not on when I dropped my car off to have my air conditioner serviced. Again, the diagnostic report received after the oil change on May 9 was all green lights. After reporting the lights and warnings, TOG ran another diagnostic and claimed the lights and warnings happened in September 2025. There were no warning lights on my car until after they serviced my air conditioner. These lights were due to TOGs negligence. They inconveniently kept my car till May 28, 2026 stating the mechanic was sick and won’t return to the shop till then. They charged over $200, close to $300 and had the nerve to say his manager was giving me a deal because the job was a $700 job after I just paid over $2000 for the air conditioner. Excuse me!! Inconvenient. I don’t understand why lights weren’t on my car when I took my car for service but after picking my car up there were lights and indicators. The service manger didn’t listen and I was blamed , he ignored everything I said. Kept the car for 9 days. I guess working wasn’t an option for me that week. Mentioned the car needed recalibrating due to a wreck. I have never been in a wreck. The service managers have integrity issues.
I purchased a new Highlander today. Pedro and Jacob were excellent. They worked with me over several days to help find the perfect vehicle. They both were very patient and kind and made me feel like I was the only customer in the dealership. I will definitely give them referrals and return for anything I need. A very positive experience. Marcus was also excellent. Felt like we had a great connection. A+ for this great team!
I called in for an appointment and got the time I was needing. I show up and the tech takes my car right back and does a full service and tire rotation. During my wait time, my salesman Dillon Crocker saw me and immediately engaged in conversation. Super nice guy!! They done the work in a timely manner….. Come out, give me my keys…. I do think it would be a nice courtesy for them to vacuum out the floor and put some paper mats in there….. Possibly a steering wheel cover. It’s just an added layer of protection, but a very nice gesture. Overall, I’m satisfied 2024 Corolla Hatch XSE
Yesterday, my wife and I made the decision to trade in our ‘25 Honda Accord Sport to get a ‘25 4Runner SR5. The team here was very welcoming with Stephanie and Marcus taking excellent care of us. We were there for about 4 hours, and left with the car we wanted and with the price we wanted. Excellent team all around and we are looking forward to continuing business with Toyota after being with Honda for over 10 years.
If I could give zero stars I would. On 4/24/2026, my daughter purchased a used vehicle from Toyota of Goldsboro. We dealt with Kevin ( the salesman) Francisco and Marcus ( finance). She test drove 2 cars and made her decision, it was discovered that the key fob wasn't being recognized while in the car, salesman assumed it was the battery. They replaced the key fob battery and we left. Shortly she got the same message again that the key fob wasn't in the car, she called the dealership and they said to bring it back it was probably the car battery, they replaced the battery. Issue still wasn't resolved, she took it to another dealership ( on 4/30/2026) who ran diagnostic on it and found another issue. Said issue would cost about $1200 but the car was still under warranty so it was covered. Takes the part about a week to come, they replaced the part issue still not resolved. We return to Toyota and speak with Marcus and Francisco on 5/7/2026 about the issues. At this point in my mind we no longer want the car because of obvious reasons also tech at other dealership told her she could drive the car till the part came in but it could possibly cut off and leave her stranded. Francisco offers a loaner car which is picked up on 5/8/2026, for a week at no cost. At that point we discuss getting out of the car because again for obvious reasons, this car has been in the service department more than she's driven it. He initially says on 5/7/2026, that she could trade it but of course it wouldn't be an even trade, which isn't fair or honorable because you obviously sold a defective car knowingly. We return on 5/8/2026 to get the loaner, at this point he says he spoke with his GM and he said they'd do an even trade. The salesman shows her some vehicles to look at but at this point she wants to go someplace else. So we tell him we're not going to waste his time and leave. We never personally spoke with the GM all our communication came from Francisco, I would think the GM if he was really aware of the entire situation would have made it right and bought the car back instead of agreeing to buy it back but we had to make another purchase from Toyota. I wouldn't send a dog to purchase a kennel from Toyota of Goldsboro!
