# Summary This dealership receives polarized feedback, with some customers praising individual staff members for professionalism and willingness to work with buyers, while others report significant issues including misleading pricing practices, broken warranty promises, and poor follow-up on agreed-upon services like windshield installation. The negative experiences suggest systemic problems with transparency and post-sale support that contrast sharply with the positive testimonials about specific salespeople and the sales process itself.

First day seemed promising, Made an appointment to check out a car, went for a test drive no hassle. Thought about it & looked at other options as I was shopping around and decided to go with the one I test drove. During the test drive I was talking to the sales lady about the dealer, sales, regular business stuff. Got into some stats on the car how all of the cars they sell are from auction, told her about the insane markup from other dealers & she said they do not do that here, the only “hidden” fee is a 25% downpayment on top of the listing price, basically all cars on the website are marked down 25% from the actual price of the car. Sales lady said the price is negotiable but wouldn’t talk numbers until I was ready to leave with the car. Ok fine that’s understandable. I was also told all cars come with a 60 Day warranty, if anything is to break on the car, they would fix it for free, that also included a “money back guarantee” so if I hate the car, I can return it. those are the exact words from the sales lady. The car was listed at $12,999. Left that day after the test drive & wound up coming back the next day ready to purchase the car, called ahead to let them know I was coming and they said they would “prepare the car”. aka run it through a 5 min car wash down the road. Sat down and starting to talk about the car again, I was once again promised the 60 day warranty and money back guarantee, then I get shown the price $16k and change, ok that’s fine 12.9k plus the 25% that sounds about right, now i’m trying to negotiate, and the same sales lady that told me the day prior she can negotiate is now telling me that she can NOT negotiate & that is the best price, wouldn’t even budge down $100 witch insane to me. She then went on to say how she already is giving me a discount and isn’t charging me any of their dealer mark up fees, excuse me? you just told me yesterday there were no mark ups on the vehicle. now all of a sudden there were some mark ups that magically disappeared & made it seem like a discount? Then she goes on to tell me how the car hasn’t even been listed on their website for 24 hours with pictures & someone else can come in & buy it for their asking price now that’s it’s online. That’s odd, it has been listed for sale since 1/22/26 with pictures on cars .com & carfax, same car same VIN, with the pictures they apparently “just took this afternoon”… That’s a lie, they didn’t have the pictures on their Universal Autos website but elsewhere the car has been listed for sale with the pictures. ok whatever, the car is in decent shape, drove fine, price wasn’t terrible at $16k. Ran my credit, was approved & gave them my down payment. Sales lady told me they would freshen up the car since I had mentioned it was a bit dirty, not realizing how dirty it actually was since the sun had already set & it was dark out. I even offered to leave it overnight and pickup the next day for them to clean it, she said that was not necessary that they would take care of it right now. Then onto the paperwork with the finance manager, we start the process & sign some documents, then we are chatting about the price of the car, he then offers me a $4k extended warranty, I decline it and ask about the 60 day guarantee the sales lady told me about for re assurance, glad I brought that up because he quite literally laughed in my face and said there is no such thing, the only thing they offer is the bare minimum required by new york state witch is the lemon law. Then some papers signed later he shows me the price break down with the total price of the car… $26000??? how did we jump 10 grand from sales tax, doc fees, dmv fees and interest? Then some more paperwork later, plates are on the car & the only thing they had to do was print out my temp regi & get me my copies of the paperwork, they said should only be another 10 min. The same sales lady who was helping me is now helping someone else, 30 min later car is ready and the sales lady is basically forcing me to leave a 5 star review. After that seems like all 5 stars here are fake

I purchased a 2021 BMW X5 from this dealership and had a very poor experience after the sale. As part of the agreement, they were supposed to replace the windshield. Instead of sending me to a proper shop, they sent me to a house for the installation, which was an immediate red flag. The work was done incorrectly I now have a distorted heads-up display, sensor issues, and noticeable wind noise while driving. I had the vehicle checked and it was confirmed the windshield was not installed properly and needs to be redone. Despite this, the dealership refused to work with me on finding a different, qualified shop closer to me and insisted I return to the same installer who already did the job incorrectly. I am not local, so this would require significant travel and missing work. On top of that, there have been issues with the title and registration process, which left me without valid plates after my temporary registration expired. When I raised this concern, I was told I could continue driving the vehicle anyway, which is not acceptable and puts me at risk of being pulled over or having the car impounded. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and unwillingness to provide a reasonable solution has been extremely frustrating. I would strongly advise making sure all work is done by reputable shops and that all paperwork is fully handled before leaving this dealership.
