# Summary Customers generally praise the dealership's sales staff for their knowledgeable, pressure-free approach and attentive service, with multiple reviewers highlighting specific salespeople's expertise and responsiveness. However, one customer reported a significantly negative experience with a salesman who was unprepared about vehicle features, failed to address customer needs, and struggled with basic vehicle operations during a test drive.

Went to another dealership around the corner and it didn’t work out. And we drove past Volvo and decided to take a look. Vince greeted us and he was very knowledgeable. Our experienced was pressure-free and we end up buying our XC-90 Plug-ins from Vince within 40 minutes. I would recommend this dealership to any of my friends. Thank you again!

I had a great car buying experience, with opportunities to work with both the Sales and Service departments and would absolutely work with them again. For Sales: Fernando was amazing to work with. He was honest, responsive, and genuinely looked out for my best interests throughout the entire process. He answered all my questions quickly, made everything clear and straightforward, and never made me feel pressured. Thanks to Fernando, this was the smoothest car-buying experience I’ve ever had and I love my XC60! If you’re looking for someone experienced and helpful, I highly recommend asking for Fernando. Sheri in the Finance Department was also very knowledgeable and great to work with. For Service: Danny was excellent to work with. He was honest, worked around the clock to keep me updated and provide assistance, and made sure the right thing was done every step of the way. His professionalism and care helped make a difficult experience feel much less overwhelming. I really appreciated his communication and commitment to great service. I’d highly recommend Danny and the Volvo Cerritos service team and wish this location was closer to me for my regular maintenance.

Had such a great experience purchasing our Volvo XC90. John Apodaca was a pleasure to work with. My wife and I both appreciated his time, efforts, and expertise in assisting us with our new purchase. He had great energy and we’d highly recommend working with him.

On Sunday my wife and I went to Volvo of Cerritos, where we were greeted very quickly with a salesman named John an older guy. We were there to test drive the EX90 EV with Three row seating. Well, first impressions. He walked up to us asked us what we’re interested in and we told him this particular car the EX90 EV. First thing out of his mouth was oh yeah I already have someone waiting to buy this car. As if we needed to move fast if we wanted to get this car. Strike 1. Then I had to run back to the Kia dealer across the street where I left my wallet from an earlier test drive. So my wife stayed behind until I got back. Once I returned he had pulled the car out of the parking spot for us to test drive. Then he was so quick to try to get us to drive the car he didn’t even allow us a minute to look inside of the car just wanted us to take the car out. But he couldn’t even get the touch screen to work so I could adjust the mirrors to drive the car. Not to mention he wouldn’t help my wife get into the car because he was so focused on try to tell me how to adjust the mirrors but the controls were glitching. Then when she was finally able to get into the car he wouldn’t even help her adjust the middle row seating because it was not enough room for her to get behind his seat because the space was so limited. So she finally had to tell him to move his seat up and out of her way so she could get inside of the car Strike 2.!! Then after he finally moves his seat forward enough to allow her to get in behind his seat. And after several attempts to get the mirrors controls to work it finally did. This vehicle you can only control these types of settings on the glitchy touchscreen. Not a great start to a EV at $$ of over $80k. That just about everything is controlled from this large IPad knockoff touch screen that wouldn’t work from the beginning of the test drive. Then we finally take the car out for the drive. It’s one pedal driving wasn’t that smooth and thought it had some power when accelerating it wasn’t the best on the EV market compared to similar ones we test drove before. Then with the quick drive around the block and down the street it didn’t impress us or wow us. Upon our return to the dealership I asked to take a look at the cargo space in the trunk area. Well guess what ? He couldn’t even figure out how to open the trunk. From the back of the car, he pressed buttons that he thought were buttons, the back trim area and tried to wave his foot under the bumper where the kick sensor should have worked as an option to open the trunk yet it did not, and grabbed it in all the wrong places. To no avail the trunk didn’t open. He went back inside to try to open it from the touch screen and yet again the trunk wouldn’t open. Strike 3!!! So at this point we were done with this awful mess of an experience with this vehicle and it’s glitching along with this sales man who was less salesman and more of a fumbling failure at being knowledgeable of a vehicle he claimed someone else was so ready to jump at buying. Which was sad because it was very dirty on the inside and outside for a new car but it looked like a used car that was desperate to pushed off on anyone unsuspecting of all the problems with this vehicle. Buyer beware of this vehicle and this particular salesman. He knew nothing of this vehicle except that you can try to speak to the car but guess what after saying Hey Google about 5 or 6 times to ask it what the weather was in the area. A pointless feature that still didn’t work as intended was also not a selling point. How about you tell me the charging information or the range it will get on a full charge. Or better yet what charging access this vehicle has available to it. In addition to all of this we were never allowed to try to access the third row which is one of the main reasons we were looking at this vehicle a point he choose to ignore. Because you guessed he was so focused on trying to sell he didn’t listen to what are needs were. To quick to judge and not listen to the customer.

Amazing purchase experience at McKenna Volvo Cerritos! They make it so easy. I got a great deal from Fernando in Sales and Joe in Finance. If you need a Volvo, don’t even bother to shop…just go to Cerritos!
