We recently purchased a vehicle from Volvo Halifax and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our Product Specialist, Melvin, was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient throughout the entire process. At no point did we feel pressured or pushed into making any decisions. Instead, he took the time to answer every question we had, explain all of our options clearly, and ensure we felt completely comfortable with the decisions we were making. His customer-focused approach made the experience enjoyable and stress-free. Gina in the Finance Office was equally fantastic to work with. She thoroughly explained the various products and protection options available to us and provided all the information we needed to make informed decisions. We appreciated that she presented the options without pressure and allowed us to choose what best suited our needs. Overall, this was one of the best vehicle purchasing experiences we’ve had. The entire team was professional, transparent, and genuinely focused on helping us find the right fit. I bought my first Volvo in November. The whole sales experience was pretty much flawless. I’ve been back to the dealership twice times since purchase - all routine. To a person my experience has been fabulous. There’s one person who really stands out - Ryan. Ryan is an extraordinary ambassador for the brand and is incredibly customer service focussed. He also stands out because he has a lovely, genuine and thoughtful personality. I’ve been fortunate to have experienced excellent customer service with other brands but this experience at Volvo Halifax is next level.

Just purchased a XC90 from this dealership and had an absolutely fantastic experience, thanks to my sales consultant Shu Liu. From the moment I walked in, Shu was welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the XC90 and all the available options. She listened carefully to what I was looking for, answered every question patiently, and guided me through the entire process without any pressure. Shu went above and beyond to make sure I got the exact configuration I wanted and explained all the features in detail. Her service was truly outstanding — friendly, attentive, and efficient. I’m thrilled with my XC90 and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. If you’re considering a Volvo, ask for Shu Liu — she’s the best! Highly recommend.

I would like to share my experience in the hopes that it helps this dealership improve. My intention is not to discourage anyone from doing business here, but rather to provide honest feedback based on two separate experiences. Vehicle Purchase (2024) In 2024, we attempted to purchase a new Volvo XC60 from this dealership. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Our trade-in was significantly undervalued compared to other offers, and communication was inconsistent. After initial discussions, several days passed without any follow-up, leaving us uncertain whether our business was valued. We ultimately purchased the exact same XC60 specification from Volvo Fredericton. They offered approximately $5,000 more for our trade-in and provided a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. I understand the dealership was in the process of relocating at the time, which may have contributed to some of the challenges, but it nevertheless set the tone for our perception of the customer experience. Lease Buyout / Early Termination (2026) Two years later, due to financial circumstances, we explored options for ending our lease early. We contacted this dealership for assistance and waited nearly a month to receive figures, requiring multiple follow-ups on our end. When the numbers finally arrived, the proposed solution was essentially to pay the full remaining lease obligation while also surrendering the vehicle. From our perspective, it felt as though there were no practical options available. Seeking a second opinion, we contacted Volvo Fredericton. Within approximately one week, they reviewed our situation, bought back the vehicle, and helped us exit the lease for a fraction of the cost we had been led to expect. The contrast between the two experiences was significant. Again, I am not writing this to criticize for the sake of criticism. There are many good people working in the automotive industry, and every dealership has challenges. However, there appears to be considerable room for improvement in communication, responsiveness, and customer advocacy. I genuinely hope this feedback is taken constructively because I believe the dealership has the opportunity to provide a much better customer experience. On a plus side, i had positive experience with their service and parts department.

brought my xc40 in for repair, first Volvo I've ever owned (30 years of owning Volkswagen) and I was immediately impressed with the building and customer service as I was greeted in the drop off bay. The repair was performed quickly and I was promptly kept up to date. The fact that they even gave me a wash ticket was a bonus and good gesture.
