# Summary This dealership receives highly polarized feedback, with some customers praising exceptional individual service representatives and smooth transactions, while others report significant issues including extended service delays lasting months, unresolved mechanical problems, poor communication, and vehicles sold with defects. The quality of experience appears heavily dependent on which staff member assists the customer, with standout employees like Artis Johnson and Tyler receiving specific praise, while service department failings dominate negative reviews.
Brought my 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo to this dealership 11-4-25 to replace a windshield wiper reservoir, a brake light, get an oil change, and for fluid, brake and belt checks. After inspection, they ended up changing serpentine belt and doing coolant and transmission flushes. It took them 5 weeks to complete this! When I got it back the check engine light was on with a P0607 code. They had my jeep for another 3 1/2 months trying to figure out how to correct this! Each time I talked with them they said they're still trying to figure it out. Finally they called and told me they can't correct the issue but the technician was sure it was safe to drive. But when I looked up the code it said definitely don't drive and get it corrected ASAP. I ended up calling Jeep customer care and they assigned someone to investigate my complaint. The dealership eventually calls me and says I now need a transmission control module and parts/labor would be $1400! I told them the check engine light never came on before they worked on it (transmission flush) and I shouldn't be charged. They said the parts/labor had to billed and I would have to pay. I told them not to do anything and picked it up 3-23-26 -- 4 1/2 months after I dropped it off!!!!!!!! After looking up my specific scenario on AI, it gave me several diy options and resets to try. I did 2 of them and the check engine light went off and when the jeep was scanned it came back with no fault codes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS!!!!
“Buying my Ram RHO was one of the smoothest vehicle purchases I’ve had in years, all thanks to Artis Johnson. No games, no hidden fees, no pressure—just honest, straightforward service from start to finish. That’s rare in this business. If you want a stress-free, no-BS experience, ask for Artis.”
Yesterday, I had a vehicle emergency while traveling from Ohio for business in the Charleston WV area. I could not be more grateful for the kindness & exceptional care provided at Walker Chrysler Jeep Ram in Hurricane, WV. In a world where being treated like a human being has disappeared in most retail/service encounters.... Al Begil and his team listened, understood how scared I was... solved my problem and made sure my vehicle was going to be ok, AND more importantly... made sure that I was going to be ok. I highly recommend these folks and Thank you again, so much.
Original review amended from 1 to 4 stars: 12/26/2025: Once Tyler, the service technician manager, became aware of our situation, he reached out immediately. Tyler apologized for the lack of communication and assured us he would complete the diagnostic process that morning. Within 30 minutes, he called back with a completed diagnostic and an estimate for the repairs. Because of the extended wait time we experienced, Tyler provided us with a significant discount on labor. He also shared his personal cell number and stayed in contact throughout the rest of the day. Tyler and his team addressed all of our concerns and had our van ready to drive by the end of the day. What began as a frustrating experience, ended as a blessing and a complete turn-around in customer service. If this had been our original experience, this would be a 5-star review! 12/23/2025: Very disappointed in the service department. We brought our van in for an appointment on Dec. 1 and it is still there over 3 weeks later, with no diagnosis. We called 5-6 times over the course of two weeks and were told they were backed up but a technician had been assigned. After finally connecting with the service dept. 2 weeks in, the technician called to provide the codes he had discovered (which we could have done weeks ago at Autozone). He asked permission to start work on the van (just to diagnose) and 5 days later, no one has contacted us. Yesterday, we called twice to see if our van is still sitting in the lot, so we could come get the key and take it somewhere else. Both times we were directed to the service dept. and no one answered. It’s as if our vehicle is being held hostage and no one has an answer for when we might get it back. At this point we just want our vehicle back so we can take it to someone who will communicate with us and complete the work we need.
My husband and I bought a truck six months ago, it has already broke down and in service at this dealership. Originally they said it would be done mid May. Now they are telling us the part won’t be in until the end of JULY. Mind you, I had put $5k down on this truck. When going to talk about this issue, we mentioned a trade in but they wouldn’t even pay off the truck that they sold us, that’s already broken down. This is not our fault that they sold us a lemon. They provided us a rental truck, but they gave it to us on empty and an expired registration sticker. What a joke. Once we get our truck back, we will not be going back to this dealership. Won’t be surprised if it breaks down again. Beware that this dealership may sell you a lemon.
