# Summary The dealership receives praise from satisfied customers who highlight exceptional sales staff, transparent financing services, and a caring team approach that goes above and beyond expectations. However, significant complaints detail serious issues including mishandled financing arrangements, vehicle quality concerns, intimidating behavior, and poor collision center service with extended wait times and alleged exploitative loaner practices.
Highly recommend these guys! Big thanks to Vladislav for the amazing service and professionalism. From start to finish, he made the whole process super smooth and stress-free. He really knows his stuff, took the time to answer all my questions, and helped me find exactly the car I’d been looking for for a long time — and for a seriously great deal too. Huge shoutout to Greg, the finance manager, for being honest, straightforward, and super easy to work with. No pressure, no games — just real professional service. He helped me get a solid insurance plan and locked in great financing terms with a really good interest rate. This is already my second vehicle purchased through Vladislav, and I only work with Greg when it comes to financing. In my opinion, he’s one of the best in the business. Always keeps you updated, explains everything clearly, and makes the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. Honestly, the whole team went above and beyond. If you’re looking for people who are professional, transparent, and actually care about their customers, these are the guys to go to!
I just picked up my new 2026 Ultimate Hybrid Hyundai Tucson las Saturday and I am beyond thrilled with the service I received and the quality of my vehicle. Sonny, my salesman, took the time to answer my questions, go on a drive with me to explain the features and went above and beyond in so many ways. I had the help of three financial advisors to address my concerns as I was in a car accident three weeks ago with my 2023 Hundai Tuscon, which I loved but it was declared a total loss. Thankfully, I had the CAP insurance, which Greg dealt with, ending up with a large sum that I used as a deposit on my new vehicle. Leo made sure that I had a rental as I accidentally omitted to include the loss of use on my MPI insurance but fortunately I had it with the CAP insurance. Kalen ensured that all the extras were added to my new vehicle. This is such a great team to work with when I needed help the most, they were there for me. I would strongly recommend anyone to go to Winnipeg Hyundai in the future as they have a team that REALLY CARES!!
I had an extremely negative and stressful experience with Winnipeg Hyundai / VGO Auto Financing. As part of the deal, the salesperson was supposed to include my remaining loan balance into the new financing. He failed to confirm the correct amount before proceeding, leaving a $1,500 shortfall. I was then told my previous vehicle would be traded in, and that I would have to pay $1,500 to keep my own vehicle. From the beginning, I made it very clear that I did not want to go through with the deal and asked for it to be cancelled. Despite repeatedly saying no, I was pressured and told I could “work it off” and make payments. My concerns were ignored. When I questioned the delay and the safety of the vehicle he had sent me pictures of, and asked to test drive it, my concerns and questions were completely ignored. I was never given the opportunity to see the vehicle in person before purchasing it, which is completely unacceptable. Eventually, the vehicle was dropped off on my street with the key left on my porch — without any proper handoff. The condition of the vehicle was unacceptable. I had to wash the vehicle myself because it looked like it had been driven down a dirt road. I should have taken pictures, but I was so upset at the time that I didn’t. It was not cleaned despite being told it would be detailed. It smelled like smoke, had a burn hole in the seat, a cracked windshield, a broken sway bar, a hole in the floor, and worn-out rusted rims. The tire pressure monitoring system was also missing. I had to fight just to get the windshield and sway bar repaired, and I was afraid to even bring up the other issues. When I raised concerns, I was told I was “complaining” and that the salesperson had “lost money” on my deal. When I continued to push for proper resolution, the situation escalated and my fiancé was threatened, including references to Hells Angels. At that point, I felt intimidated and unsure of what to do. Weeks later, I was being harassed for an additional $1,500 that I had already explained I could not afford. I contacted the dealership directly and was eventually told the salesperson made a mistake and that the amount would not be pursued. However, none of the other serious issues with the vehicle were addressed. More recently, during an oil change, I was informed that my bumper is damaged and missing parts. That was the final straw. I went back to the dealership and met with the general manager, Ralph Wasserberg, who initially told me I would be getting a different vehicle and that all communication would be documented via text. A week later, after running my credit five separate times, I was told they could not refinance me and that the only option was to repair the current vehicle. This entire experience has been unprofessional, misleading, and at times intimidating. I do not feel this situation has been handled appropriately, and I would strongly caution others to be extremely careful when dealing with this dealership and any third-party financing connected to them. I have filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Office.
Excellent Service from Doug McCartney our sales person today. Totally understood our needs and listen to what we were looking for in our next vehicle plus convinced us to buy a Hybrid. Friendly staff from Sales Manager & others we met at this dealership today. This is our second new vehicle purchased from Doug & Wpg Hyundai in last 4 yrs and great experience all around. Plus exceeded my expectations on trade in value of my current vehicle. I would recommend anyone looking to buy new or used to stop in and talk to Doug.
Horrific customer service at Winnipeg Hyundai Collision. My brand-new 2025 Tucson N Line Hybrid was towed here and sat completely untouched for THREE WEEKS just to get an initial inspection. They explicitly told me it was only 3rd in the tow-in queue—taking around 21 days to inspect a 3-car backlog is a complete operational failure. Now they claim parts won't arrive until mid-June, meaning nearly 2 months without a vehicle due to Hyundai's own logistics backlog. My vehicle is currently unsafe to drive; it was already throwing "Drive Assistant Blocked" error codes and dangerously pulling to the side. Yet, the treatment I received for expecting brand accountability is shocking: The service advisor mockingly suggested I should have bought MPI Loss of Use coverage, completely ignoring that a 2-month delay is caused by Hyundai’s inability to source parts for their current 2025 models, not the accident. The shop manager claimed they have zero loaners available. However, he immediately changed his story, saying cars ARE available if I pay $35/day out of pocket! He rudely dismissed my financial distress, claiming he has "50 people a day" in my situation. This is a logical scam—how do you have 50 people a day when you can't even inspect the 3rd car in your queue for 3 weeks? They are hoarding available vehicles to exploit stranded customers for cash. I am actively paying my monthly car loan and skyrocketing daily taxi fees for a new vehicle that is just serving as a lawn ornament on their lot. When I expressed my frustration, the manager delivered a hostile ultimatum: "If you don't want to wait, cancel the repair with us and take your car elsewhere." A manager is openly threatening to turn away a brand-new vehicle owner and drop an insurance claim mid-process because he refuses to take responsibility for a parts backlog. Absolute bullying and extortion-like tactics. Formal complaints filed with Hyundai Canada and MPI. Avoid this place at all costs!
