# Summary The dealership receives sharply divided feedback, with several customers reporting significant service and administrative failures including unresponsive service departments, installation errors, damaged vehicles, and confusing finance practices. However, at least one customer praised the sales experience as pressure-free and genuinely professional, particularly highlighting exceptional service from individual salespeople.

The ONLY reason this location gets 1 star is because of the exceptional help I got from Brad a sales manager that helped me with an issue with their service department. My daughter left an inquiry on this locations online portal to get recall work done as well as an oil change. The website states that they will contact you within 48-72 hrs. A week later no one has contacted my daughter about her inquiry. She left 4 voicemails and yet still no call back. After my daughters 4th vm and my call to Brad who sent an email to Steve Olsen the manager of the service department, still no call. The sewrvice department had been open for 2 hrs the following morning and still nobody had bothered to call her. Once I got ahold of Steve all i got were excuses uopn excuses, He attempted to turn the tables and claim that my daughter probably called the wrong location. She had not. I know that because she had taken her car to the Chico location before for service. She also has been receiving texts FROM THAT LOCATION reminding her that she needs to bring her car in for service. She knew exactly what location to call. Steve then told me that they had the right to refuse service to anyone regardless of the recall work. Steve was aware of the email because he brought up the fact that the email stated that my daughter was hung up on. Steve stated, " that never would have happened. In my five years of working here that has never happened." This manager, Steve Olsen, did everything in his power to shift blame onto my daughter instead of taking responsibility for his department. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!! This service department does not appreciate their customers.

Gaslighting and lying- 5 stars! Reading the other reviews I should have known better. Took my car in on Friday for a 30K mile service. Got it back at the end of the day with my cargo/roof box crushed. They were suppose to find another but didn't. I got approval to buy a replacement from REI with my 20% member discount. Thought I was helping them out. Was told to come to the service department the next morning. I arrived at 10:30 and they said, 'oh you're too late, come back tmr'. I did and took them 8 hours for a 30 min job (to install the new cargo box). Got home and realized they had installed the box backwards, scratched my exterior driver's door (as well as the passenger's side) and didn't give me back two keys for the box. And of course, they didn't have a reimbursement check ready either. So now I'm back for the 4th time. Service manager says that the instructions (the images were clear even with big red X indicating how NOT to install the box) were, 'confusing'. He refused to believe that they scratched my vehicle (even though the service rep did a walk around and saw nothing when I brought the car in). He also said that the box (brand new) did not come with two keys (they all do as per manufacturer). I'm surprised he didn't deny that they crushed my cargo box in the first place. Never again. They have no clue what customer service is.

I hate buying cars because I absolutely despise being pressured into things by people especially salesmen. But this was by far the easiest car purchasing experience I have ever had. Everyone at the dealership was extremely professional to deal with and very nice ESPECIALLY Corey. Corey was by far the most human experience I have ever had with a salesperson not just car sales but sales in general. There was 0 pressure and I was so happy with that. Outside of the whole standard sales practices you could just tell he was excited about what he does and loves his job and wants to give people the best experience possible. 100% would purchase a car from here again.

This place blows, I was warned about coming here too. I’m writing this review in the service department waiting room. Dropped my van off a week ago for fuel injectors. Got my van back Monday, with broken window, takes them two days to get window replaced. They act like it’s an inconvenience for them to fix, these guys have trash customer service. Drive to Redding Honda and save yourself a potential week long fiasco. Get a security guard or something guys.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience is something the local community should be aware of. Over the past 20 years, I’ve purchased or leased six vehicles. I usually drive to the Sacramento area because pricing and professionalism tend to be better, but this time I chose to keep my business local. That decision turned out to be a major mistake. Three weeks after signing paperwork, I am *still* being given the runaround on my final charges and have received nothing in the mail confirming that my purchase even exists. During the process, a $375 “door and hood theft” coverage was added without my consent. I was also asked to return to re-sign paperwork **three separate times**, and now they’re requesting a fourth visit. What makes this worse is the constant shifting story. One week I receive a call saying they “found more rebates,” followed by another call the next week claiming they found even *more*. The numbers never add up, the explanations don’t make sense, and the entire process feels like smoke and mirrors. I finally told them to keep the supposed $7-per-month savings from these “new incentives” rather than waste another trip signing yet more documents. If you’re looking to purchase or lease a vehicle, I strongly recommend avoiding **Whitmeier**. Their finance department has been completely unprofessional and disorganized. Do yourself a favor and make the drive to **Sacramento**—you’ll save time, frustration, and likely have a far better overall experience.
