Let me preface this by saying I love my Fiat 500x, and have taken very good care of it because I intend to stay in the Fiat family for years to come. However. I needed an oil change in 2024 and after a rather bad run in with a couple different Jiffy Lube’s in Chicago I thought taking it to the dealership would be the safe option. Came from the airport (still in uniform) and it took them nearly 6 hours for an oil change. I fell asleep in the lobby for a couple of hours. I didn’t have an appointment, they charged me $135, and didn’t make note of the mileage I’d need to bring it back in (sticker or on paperwork). Fast forward, I needed another oil change this year, and other than the wait time, I didn’t have a problem with the service. Made a midweek morning appointment for an oil change and a tire pressure sensor fault light. Noe at the service desk came in and chatted with me about a couple other things that will need work soon on my car, and left me with paperwork. This oil change was marked at $189, and when I told him the woman who checked me in stated it would be $129 he changed it. (Still did not get any information stating when I’d need to be back for my next oil change, and I had to call when I left to get the info and write it on the statement for my future self). This paperwork stated the two service items I brought it in for and the usual 360 point inspection with nothing else that was urgent. 30 or so minutes later he tells me my car is ready (it wasn't, I stood in the garage for 20 minutes waiting), and as we walk back into the garage he states that he needs to exchange the paperwork he already gave me for new paperwork with a new fault. Odd. Then he states that my rear brake light (long one on the back windshield) was out and that I should have seen a fault light for that. I told him I didn’t even know my car would tell me that a light was out and that there was no fault light for that when I brought it in. He tells me the replacement charge for this brake light will be $580 (!!!!), and I shouldn’t leave without getting it fixed. I tell him it’s going to have to wait. They have one of the guys pull the car around and I can see the brake light working and then it glitches out. Odd. I leave the garage and my dash starts lighting up saying left light blinker out, right light blinker out, and daytime running lights out. I reverse back into the lot and do a check myself (they’re all working) so I pull back into the garage and ask them about this. They had a tech come explain that they’re all interconnected, and I said well this has to be something you may have hit because they were all working when I pulled in 2 hours ago. Noe and the tech shrugged at me... I leave the lot and call the European auto shop in Logan Square and tell them the situation, and they were more shocked than I was at the price. They told me to bring it in and they’d check the codes for free and if it was a bulb they’d only charge me the price of the bulb. Well 10 minutes after leaving the lot the dash light goes out, and when I brought it to the shop they said everything was in working order and nothing was popping when they ran the codes. I’ll never bring my car to the Zeigler dealership again.
Horrible Customer Service Care. And Service Department. I will never purchase a vehicle from them again! If you are smart stay far away from this dealership!
I booked an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time. Dropped my car off and talked to someone about service. That was 3 1/2 weeks ago. They lost my car, cancelled the appointment and didn't call me. I called a week later to find out they lost my car and told them where it was (right outside the exit), and they put me in the queue for the first time. I called back for an update a week later and was told they think my battery is an issue, they wanted $300 to replace it and they did not do any diagnostics on the battery to determine failure. I explained they need to diagnose the problem first. Was told I would get a call back later that day. The following week I reached out to them (my car has not been moved since I dropped it off), and I'm told that it did fail but they couldn't tell me what failed which the test should show clearly. I am in complete distrust of this company. I have been trying to talk to a manager for 2 weeks, I have left several messages and been promised callbacks by several people. As far as I know today is the first day they are working on my car that I made an appointment for 5 1/2 weeks ago.
One of the worst places to bring your car for service. I own Fiat 500, and have an issue with a gas tank. I made an appointment, dropped off the vehicle, and it took them 4 days to just diagnose it. They DO NOT answer the phone nor return v/m. When I came to the place, the phone was just on mute ringing non-stop. And once they believed they knew what was wrong, they charged me $200 but didn't actually fix it. I still have the same issue after their "service". It was the worst service I have ever had. Please save yourself time and money and don't go there.
Terrible service. No communication unless you call yourself. I have a lifetime warranty on my Fiat 500L so I have no choice but to go to the dealer for certain repairs or else the warranty is Void. It has taken a whole day for an oil change before. Currently my car has been at the dealer for 4 days to replace a rear view mirror. Wasn't even looked at until day 2. And this is probably the 4th time this Same problem has occurred. I was consistently blamed for manhandling the mirror and breaking it...absolutely the worst! Go to the Jeep dealer on Dundee in Arlington Heights for regular maintenance!
